"The first presentations of Yoga in India ancient originated in its contemplative traditions. These traditions held, in one form or another, that self-knowledge was the best and most lasting cure for the suffering and pains that life brings."

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga sees each practitioner as unique. There exist particular series, that are taught individually within a group-set. Each practitioner learns the serie, that is suitable to his level. You are moved gradually from one position to the following one, until you are able to memorise them and build your own personal practice. The serie is always to be practiced according to the traditional order. Modification and adjustments help to adapt to your conditions and hold you safely.

The system of Ashtanga Yoga focuses on breath, a deep breathing with sound, combines it with energetical locks and aligns it with the movements and postures. Together with a specific gazing point the practice develops to an internal one and helps so to unravel, see the invisible, inner world and learn about oneself compassionately.

Along the physical practice this form of Yoga offers ethical suggestions to manifest a peaceful, caring and content lifestyle, to live a life in truth and without suffering. Everyone can practice Ashtanga Yoga, who wishes to do so. Each reason and resolutions are valuable. It can be to get fit or to find the call of life, the practice serves insights and guides you there.

Lineage
